There’s a glass of Sauvignon Blanc in my hand and a golden Madrid sunset in the background—and yet, I still feel the quiet hum of fear.

Because behind the scenes of this beautiful European chapter I’ve just entered is the real, raw truth:
I’ve put everything I have into this move.
And I mean everything.

When people hear that I moved to Spain, one of the first questions they ask is:
"But how are you sustaining yourself over there?"

People often assume that the hardest part of moving abroad is the paperwork—the logistics, the visa application process, the red tape. And yes, all of that is challenging. There were delays, unexpected requests, multiple trips to consulates, and many moments of uncertainty.

Making an international move isn't just about flights and suitcases—it's about strategy, timing, trust, and often, the right guide showing up when you need them most.

There’s a moment in every big life transition where you realize: I’m not going back.
For me, that moment came in an empty house in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
