After spending time in Valencia and realizing it wasn’t my forever home, I returned to Madrid—and I knew almost immediately that I was meant to be here.
I’ve always been drawn to places that feel progressive and diverse. For me, those aren’t just preferences—they’re priorities. I want to feel surrounded by people with depth, openness, and a warmth that makes building community feel natural. Madrid met that energy right away.
When I first arrived in Colombia prior to Spain, I didn’t feel that same openness. Something felt misaligned. But the moment I came back to Madrid, the difference was striking. The energy of the city—the people, the rhythm, the openness—felt like it matched the frequency I had been searching for.
When I looked at my astrocartography map, it confirmed what my intuition already knew.
Madrid sits near two powerful lines in my chart:
About 125 miles southeast of Madrid lies my Mars Ascendant line. This is the same line that influences Valencia, and it’s all about action, vitality, motivation, and identity. Mars on the Ascendant activates drive and leadership, and for me, that feels like stepping confidently into this next chapter.
Just to the east of Madrid runs my Part of Fortune on the IC (Imum Coeli). The IC represents roots, home, ancestry, and the deepest part of our inner life. The Part of Fortune, as astrologer Chani Nicholas puts it, reflects the cards we’ve been dealt and how we can best align with our unique gifts. It’s a point of flow, ease, and fulfillment when things are in alignment.
And that’s what Madrid feels like: alignment.
I arrived and within just a few days, everything began to click. A new realtor was recommended to me, and we started looking at apartments almost immediately. On Day 1, she sent me a list. On Day 2, we visited our first apartment. On Day 3, we stepped into the second listing—and as soon as I walked out of it, I knew: This is home.
This apartment has everything I manifested—down to the details. I had made a list of everything I dreamed of in a living space, and this place met every single point. That level of alignment, that kind of synchronicity—it’s not something I take for granted. It’s how I know I’m on the right path.
And I’ve only been here two weeks.
But already, Madrid feels like the beginning of something much deeper. With the Mars Ascendant energy pushing me to lead and the Part of Fortune on the IC anchoring me into rootedness and ease, this city feels like a cosmic “yes.”
It’s not just a city I live in—it’s a place where I feel deeply supported.
Madrid is giving me the clarity, stability, and energetic push I need to build a life that feels expansive, grounded, and aligned with everything I’ve been growing into.
And that’s what astrocartography offers us—it helps us decode why certain places just feel right. Why some cities unlock parts of ourselves we’ve been waiting to meet. Madrid is that for me. And I’m just getting started.
