I learned to read people long before I had language for it. A childhood that asked me to pay close attention, to notice what wasn't being said, to then shift, pivot, shrink, and nurture as a response. That kind of awareness doesn't turn off, it gets refined.
I was born and raised in Southern California in a large Mexican-American family, where I inherited warm hospitality, dedicated motivation, resilience, and a passion for adventure from my dad and grandparents.
What followed was two decades of nearly constant transition, not only my own, as well as ones I helped engineer for others. I launched my career in retail operations at 17, and from there moved through Starbucks, Cheesecake Factory, Pacific Dental Services, and MB2 Dental, relocating from Southern California to New York City, Washington DC, Dallas, Salt Lake City, and Tulsa along the way. I finished my degree at American University in the middle of it. I built restaurant teams from scratch and facilitated private equity healthcare acquisitions — each one its own high-stakes transition from idea to service. I hosted recruiting events at more than 30 dental schools, guiding people through the exact moment they were choosing what came next for their careers. I managed a $35 million book of business through the kind of growth that tests whether relationships hold and teams can expand.
None of that was theoretical. Every city, every industry, every restart taught me the same thing: transition isn't a single event, it's a process. I learned to sense where someone actually was in that process, not just where they said they were, but knew what they needed to move forward, what they needed to honor, celebrate, or grieve, often before they had words for it themselves.
That's what I bring to clients now. I'm not coaching from theory or from a single career pivot I once made. With resilience and gratitude, I've navigated more transitions — geographic, professional, personal — than most people face in a lifetime. And I've spent that same span of time learning and integrating what a transition actually requires of a person. When you're in the middle of change and can't yet see your own becoming, I can help you find it: a clear, intuitive path on where you are and what real alignment looks like to get to the other side.
Today I live in Tbilisi with my cat Ahi, spending my time at Modern Art museums around the world, dancing at indie-alternative rock shows, and treasuring time with my nieces and nephews.
