🥂 What I’m Most Afraid Of (and Hopeful For) in This Next Chapter

There’s a glass of Sauvignon Blanc in my hand and a golden Madrid sunset in the background—and yet, I still feel the quiet hum of fear.

Because behind the scenes of this beautiful European chapter I’ve just entered is the real, raw truth:
I’ve put everything I have into this move.
And I mean everything.

The Risk: Betting On Myself

I sold the only thing I truly owned—my home—to fund this dream. I didn’t just downsize or take a sabbatical. I invested the equity from my condo, my time, my energy, and my heart into creating a new life, new business, and new way of being.

I invested in my joy, my desire to explore, and my calling to help others find more purpose and freedom in their lives.

From the outside, it might look like I’m fearless. But the truth?
This is the riskiest thing I’ve ever done.

I’ve built Cardinal People & Culture from scratch. I’m doing it while navigating life in a new country, learning new systems, and figuring out how to sustain myself without the safety net of a corporate salary or the familiarity of my old life.

And yes—I’m afraid.
Afraid that my business won’t grow fast enough.
Afraid I won’t be able to support myself long-term.
Afraid that this leap of faith won’t land where I hoped.

But I’m also incredibly clear on this:
There is always risk before the reward.

The Hope: Making the Dream Sustainable

The thing I’m most afraid of is also the thing I’m most hopeful for.

I want to grow my business enough to stay in Europe permanently.
I believe in the power of this work—helping others navigate transition, align with their purpose, and trust their intuition.
I know that there’s reward waiting on the other side of this risk… even if I don’t know exactly what it looks like yet.

This journey has already taught me so much about trust. Trust in my own capacity. Trust in timing. Trust in my ability to adapt and lead with heart, even when things feel uncertain.

I didn’t move here because it was guaranteed to work.
I moved here because I was willing to find out.
